Lol I agree with the others. It is subjective. [ and i became attached to jake too, even as i realized his fate. His sacrifice actually made me like roland more in the long run, when taken into account with the rest ofthe books. ]

well i would recommend reading more before Dark Tower since [ it ties most of his works together into the same multiverse ] and you'll lose a lot of references (especially in later books) if you haven't read the book(s) that are referenced
