This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

A movie I remember really well from my childhood (even though I didn't own it: pestered my friend to watch it every time I went to her house) is Balto.
Also The Lion King (favorite Disney movie)

here's 3 I really would love to talk about-being my favourites

Heavy Metal

One of the strangest movies I think I have ever seen. It's a cult classic, parodied famously on South Park, and it was pretty spot on to the point of the film.

It has none.

The movie was one long mindfuck filled with cartoon nudity, violence and even a few swears.
It was made in 1982, in Canada, oddly, and has many famous actors voicing in it. Most Canadians (John Candy for example)
and featured a great many very well known bands at the time in the soundtrack (Black Sabbath, Journey, Stevie Nicks, Blue Oyster Cult)
I saw this when I was about 14 and to this day, can't piece together what exactly the point of this movie was.
The most I can gather is a green orb called the Locnar, is found and causes the guy who found it to melt in front of his daughter-the locnar then tells the girl stories about his life (lots of sex, drugs and rock and roll) literally.
Scenes range from being more of a normal sci fi story to something completely nuts (I am so sick of these mother fucking zombies on this mother fucking plane)
to 2 aliens snorting a huge amount of cocaine and flying a space ship.
It was one of the first, if not the first, movie I ever really liked-for reasons I am still unsure of.
It entertains me and makes me laugh to this day and I still don't understand it.
But I guess that's not the point

Disney's Alice in Wonderland

I remember seeing this movie when I was a little kid, no more then 5. I read the book even though it was said to be too "challenging" for kids (despite the fact it is a children's tale) funny how that happens.
Watching it again, it is kind of weird. I never pictured the book on so much drugs that this was on.
Acid wasn't invented when Lewis Carrol wrote this but it was when, who ever drew this, was. (I think it was...sure looks like it)
It is probably the best known and most faithful movie to the book (even if it does fuck it up like all Alice movies do)
It introduces the kids to a classic story and forever gives them a skewed version of what once was a completely innocent story written for a girl in the 1800s on a boat.

Fantastic Planet

What the fuck.
This is the strangest movie I have ever seen in my life.
I saw it when I was 12, in art class-oddly as it is not really appropriate for kids (there is nudity and a bit of violence, not to mention some trippy as fuck scenes).
What I can gather is humans are the size of mice and are usually kept as pets by these massive blue naked aliens (this is a french movie made in the 70s mind you) and we soon decide to rebel on...this horrifying planet we live on where the trees are alive and eat birds and talk to lumps of shit.
It is pretty much summed up in that image above.
Something is wrong with this movie and I found myself memorised and lost in many of the surrealistic scenes.
I don't think I understand the ending, even still...
Something you need to see to believe.

IT.
Yes.
I watched IT when I was a child.
The scene I remember the most?
The balloon that pops and spews blood.
I will never forgive my parents for that.
Ever.

The Land Before Time (the first one without the music, you know the good one).

It was the first movie I ever cried in.
Followed closely by Fox and the Hound.

Other than those two I didn't cry in another movie till I was at least a teenager. To this day Fox and the Hound still makes me ball.

I ended up watching that in my 4th grade class.

I did watch most of the movies you described as a kid (except It, which I didn't watch until I was like 22). The only ones that stand out in my mind are

Fantasia (watched that in kindergarten, was very enthralled by the music)
Drop Dead Fred (lovey lovey smelly dog poo! Ahahahaha I found this silly and stupid and humorous.)
The Problem Child movies (dunno why)

I love that movie. The sequel was pretty meh, but the first was damn awesome.

As for what each little skit (for lack of a better term) is about they're all based off stories from a science fiction/erotica/fantasy comic magazine.

I was obsessed with dinosaurs when I was a kid, so of course I HAD to watch the Land Before Time every single day.

Also, I loved (and still love) The Lion King.

The BFG: Big Friendly Giant

A fairly short movie maybe an hour and ten minutes, but I liked it.
The music was enjoyable and the story was light, but interesting to follow.
