I Can't Edit My Profile Information
I am new here, and although I have received and confirmed my validation e-mail, when I try to access the "Edit My Profile" link in my control panel, this message comes up telling me about activating my account (or something along those lines- either way it won't let me through). Why does this happen/Can you fix it?
Edit: I decided to paste the message. "Chiru, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: 1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? 2. Your account needs to be at least 5 days old and have at least 15 posts before you can send Visitor Messages or edit your profile information. We had to do this because we were targeted by a spam network that only seems to sent VMs and adds the urls they're trying to advertise to their profiles

Have 17 posts and have been a member for over a week and i still can't edit my info. I've activated my account as well

You know, it would really help if they could make that rule more clear instead of us digging through the forums or sending the 'Webmaster' sob stories about our little problem. -,-

My account isn't that old yet so that makes sense. Okay, then 14 posts and 3 days later I'll be able to set my gender as 'female' and not 'unknown'. (It really bothers me...)

okay now i need to post lots so i can edit my profile before i have to go away for a while and i forget about it.. its the middle of the night here and im exhausted and i cant think of anything valuable to say to fill up another 6 posts so i can edit my profile info tonight so here i am telling you all about my problems lol.. thanx for the info on how to edit my info anyways! ^_^

Haha I was just having the same problem! Makes sense though. But do all posts count, or just ones in certain areas??

Posts in social groups don't count... at least I don't think they do >_>
Neither do visitor messages, but you can't send/receive them until you've done the post-limit thing... Pretty much all posts in all threads count towards your postcount |
