Yu-Gi-Oh! The cheaters
In the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh!, people cheated so much it wasn't even funny (trust me, there was a time when it was funny). What makes me sad is that they can't even check it. If it continued like that, soon the characters would just rip up the opponent's cards!
e.g: Note the 2 Winged Dragon of Ras |

cheating in a children's card game?

Season 1? I don't think so.... Look at the Duel Disk, for one thing. They didn't have that type of duel disk til Season 2, nor did they have the Winged Dragon of Ra for that matter.

Duelist Kingdom was crazy because the rules of the game had yet to be decided upon. YGO wasn't always about a card game, you know.

In season one, there are no great duelists, only really creative people.
Keith did cheat, though. It takes skill to cheat at a game that has no rules. |

I know right? The worst violators? "I launch my Gaia the Dragon Champion at your Castle of Dark Illusions, destroying your floation rings and crushing your monsters!" Yeah... what the hell was that? Oh, and don't forget "I destroy the moon!" or fusing Mammoth Graveyard to Kaiba's BEUD making it melt... XD Silly rules... Good thing it didn't get as ridiculous later on. XD

I've always assumed that every thing duelist kingdom and before was written before they did YGO the trading card came. Hence it looks like the rules are being made up as they go along.
