Thanks for the feedback. I'll continue doing my pictures the way I have been. The reason I ask is because I post my stuff on amatuerillustrator.com and I'm trying to figure out what kind of techniques people like best. It's difficult.

@Dragonqueen = That would work too. ^^ I for one have never seen Rozen Maiden but I've seen the characters. Still it's nice to know where characters are from and what not.

yeh...ive been bugging my parents to get one...but also i dont think it will fit as that is

It's not exactly an effect, it's just using the paintbrush on about a tenth transparency for everything then erasing parts with a semi-transparent eraser. Also making a white background layer to go over the original picture once I had traced over the lines. Does that help?

Wow large. Yeah probably not. My scanner is only big enough for normal sketchbook sizes. I hear they have special scanner things that are like a wand you drag across yourself but they are supposed to be really expensive.
