This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

well I got to see an extremely active Asian girl in simi-naughty cloths, so was not all bad but in all honesty, it was woeful.

Me and my mates wanted to see a Japanese film, but it was sold out, so we went with this instead as thought it could be a laugh,.....somehow it managed to be so poor, it could not even surpass my exceptions, despite my exceptions being so low, it merely had to be better than my abridge series and it would be ok.....my abridge series was classic writing compared to this o0

-In all honesty I think this film suffered from modern day film cowardism and ethic's.

It was clearly made by two nerds in their dads basement, who had played one too many galgames and so was merely meant to be 2 hours of mindless sex fetished violence. However obviously no money man wanted his name on that so said it needed to be kid friendly in order to catch all gender confused teens and ethical so wouldn't be considered sexist o0.
-This meant that it was 1:30 hour, of teen angst, 20 minutes of badly chonographed fighting and 10 minutes of PG level sex teasing o0

=With the feminism thing though I am honestly not sure if it is taking itself seriously there or just being really trite with its humour. You see it is portrayed as a very major issue (to the point most men in the film can do little more than grunt) but then the rest of film is the very sexism it is trying to argue against. This means if it was humour, it becomes so glib, hypercritical and in your face, that any laughs would give it are lost, but if it is serious, well then neo-feminism is even more warped than I thought....o0

However I still say this films biggest crime is it soundtrack -_- why....why ruin such wonderful sounds.....the pixie's are lost.....lost....you blew it up..... damn you./...you blew it all up .....you great dirty FILMMMMMMM

If it was rated R and had more gore and nudity, I do believe it could of turned around the way the film went...I mean what guy isn't happy with that in a movie? As Fared said, I was happy to see a hot Asian girl in skimpy clothes...just needed moar lol.

yup, being a 12A meant to much censorship caused it to miss the whole point.

Personally, wonderful movie. I went in expecting to pay for nothing but action with no plot, expecting to see nothing but action with not plot, and then they turned around and pulled of an (albeit loose) one anyways.

Bit of a spoiler...

It's a bit of a mindscrew sure, but really, the entire 'decoy protagonist' deal that hung around until the end had me pulled out of my 'squee' moment from the over the top action and thinking 'Wait, no, I don't want her to die! I knew she would die, but I don't want her to!!'

End spoiler there, but continuing on...

Besides all of that, they had to cut a lot anyways; in order to make it PG13, that movie was re-written A LOT, and you can even see hints of this in the credits.

All in all, if you want a meaningful story then fine, go ahead and hate. But if you want nothing more than crazy fight scenes to get you riled up, go see it now; it'll not only fulfill that, but you'll get a small bit of story to make it even better.

And as a side note, here's a game to play; find all the symbolism and Alice in Wonderland references. It's fun.

Well yes, if you watch it for women, you'll be fairly disappointed; not much you can squeeze out for PG13 in that regard I don't think.

Which sucks. There was supposed to be more sexy clothes..! D>

Maybe there will be bonus things on the DVD... -3-

this is the films very problem.....them making it a 12A/PG13....etc does not justify them doing it, they had the choice to right thing and decided instead to try ripping off the fans by redudding the film for kids to make more money, but..... if only I had seen the 12A rating before went in, second that sign came up, I knew I was doomed

Welllll, I loved this movie. I loved everything about it and personally I think its stupid how people say you have to be stupid yourself to like the movie. The plot makes PERFECT sense, and I really don't see how people can say it doesnt. Just because the story of it all is so dark and twisted, doesn't make it a bad movie. And the music is the best part of the movie, so naturally, if you dislike the music, you're not gonna like the movie. And another side note, the extended cut of the film is rated R.

Eh...music can't carry a movie the entire way. From what I remember the action was poorly done, the girl would get hit and act like it was nothing...then there was the whole "I need to explain the movie by making another movie in another movie" deal...

the music was woeful, it took epic songs and made them worse.

the story made sense if willing to suspend disbeleif, but even if makes sense, doesn't make it good story

and its morals were insulting

In short, woeful film (in my opinion )

Waste of money. I got convinced to see it in a theater. Did not like. At all.

I really could sit here and tear it apart, but that's effort I'm not even going to tap into right now.

I seriously think you have to be a trololo at this point. I cannot fathom anyone liking that movie, much less daring to say that the plot made sense.

Months later~

It makes sense. How does it not? There are different ways you could interpret it too.
