This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Default The Hobbit

What do people think of this film?

Having watched it last night, I must say that I did actually enjoy it, but I can understand why it is receiving somewhat mixed reviews.

I thought it was a really good film. I'm a big fan of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings and it was nice to sort of go back to that world. I have read the book, but its been a very long time and I don't remember a lot of the details. I understand that they are including some of Tolkien's other writings into the movies which is nice because I haven't read any of those.

I was a little concerned going in because I heard there were going to be three movies. Just looking at my bookshelf, my copy of Lord of the Rings is three to four times thicker than my copy of the Hobbit. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how they can get three movies out of this story, even with the extra material. Its a shame Jackson didn't do the Hobbit first, because now it seems like he is trying to top himself with this smaller story. Overall, it was a very entertaining movie and I'm looking forward to the next one.

A film that is precious to many, yet sews disappointment and concern among the masses... Perhaps your doom shall occur before the trinity is complete and thus no mortal shall remain to experience the length that they so fear. Perhaps...
