This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Default I feel depressed

I doubt anyone would read this, because almost every thread I make gets ignored. I feel sad. There's this guy I really liked. He's a grade older than me. At first I wanted to go to the winter formal with him, but he was going with someone else, who asked a day before I had the courage to find out. Last month I admitted that I liked him. Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake. I want him ,but I feel like I can't have him. I thought I would be able to let him go, but something in me just can't. It's hard. I wish he would like me this way. I dunno what to do. I can't sleep, I can't concentrate on my work, I can't even draw. Now here I am just wondering, how the hell did I fall in love!?!?

1. Your threads aren't ignored, I can think of at least one forum game you started that is still going.

2. You aren't going to like my advice, but here it is. Ignore it like everyone else does. You're young. You're supposed to pine for someone you think you can't have. This is the time when you think you'll forever be unhappy and alone. At least, that is what I was like when I was much younger.

That being said, if it bothers you that much, just ask him out on a date. The worst he can do is say no, and crush you. Once that's happened at least you can find your self respect move on to someone else. And that's the worst case senario. It could be he likes you too, and just cause he's going to one dance with someone else doesn't mean you should assume you have 0 chance.

As for the art, grab some charcoal and put your angst into it girl. Some great shit can come out of frustration, you just have to break the dam of anxiety you're using to hold it all back. Put that emo music on, lock your door and cry it the hell out while making some dark art.

Take it from someone who just turned 23 and is as old and jaded as he looks. Life is too short for angst. Stop sitting there bemoaning life and get outside and start living it.

These can be the greatest years of your life, or the worst. They can be the start of a fulfilling and wonderful existence, or the start of a carppy, (yes carppy), self-pitying one.

In the end, it is up to you. I was 17 before I realised that, which meant I wasted over 3 quarters of my teen years unhappy.

If you do that, then my girl, you will wake up one morning in the future and think, "shit, there is so much more I could have done."

Let me add that love isn't that feeling of pining away for someone either. That's infatuation. Your true love (It could be this guy or someone else, I don't know) is out there somewhere, and when you both are mutually giving to each other more than you are taking from each other, then you will have found one another and truly become in love. I'm sure that you'll find your person. =)

You're not in love. Like the ocean suggested, either ask him out or move on. Worst that can happen is he's uninterested. Oh well, life goes on. I know that sounds cold, but in the greater scheme of things, this isn't the end of the world but just another learning experience.
