This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Oh,god...I adored Crystal!...Along with Gold and Silver.

The thing I enjoyed most from them is the fact the sun can actually disappear, and that there is such thing as night.

[getting Espeon and Umbreon was fun...XD;]

Giga Impact is like Hyper Beam, the user can't attack, not the opponent.

Haha yeah, the new features were awesome. GSC felt like such a step up from the original games, what with all of the great new features (ex. Mystery Gift, Day and Night, Breeding, Genders(for both Pokemon and Characters), Phone communication (this one was my favorite, I liked chatting with NPCs. xD). The more recent games, however, don't seem to have that same spark for me. It seems that nowadays, Nintendo's just squeezing out all of the money they can with their prized cash cow-- I must admit, though, The Underground mining thing is pretty neat.

I agree with you guys. 2nd generation (GSC) had an incredible amount of innovation put into it. I mean, look at everything they put in: day-night cycle, held items, breeding, the Special stat split, engaging storyline (almost moreso than RSE), being able to travel to Kanto (my personal favorite), Dark and Steel types, and many more.

I know I recycled some, but it just goes to show how much changed in the second generation. In that light, the third gen seemed more like a step sideways. Only with Diamond and Pearl did it seem that Pokemon moved forward yet again (only slightly).

Oh,god...I miss the phone so much!!I like getting calls from my mom saying that she bought something.

XD I get so pissed off if she bought some regular item...if she got a doll[dude, she got me a Clefairy and Charmander...hmm,can't remember],then I get to celebrate!

Bleh....RSE was ohkay...I had Sapphire, gave it to a friend so that she can get Feebas, and never got it back.

Emerald,it was sorta weird...Team Magma,I can only remember stumbling and battling them two different times...Aqua,SHEESH!

D/P just brought back the time like...dude,where's teh phone?!?DX I want my Pokenav back!

And going back to GSC[god,I jump around too much],anyone else listen to the radio?Especially to Buena's Password?XD;

yeah I just learned that today, when I thought about the giga move I thought to myself. "You know what, that doesn't sound right, that's too godly." So I checked it again and that's what the site said. So I once again had my doubts, so I went to other sites, after that I tried it myself, yeah it's hyper beam *takes it off my guy* don't use that move my mistake, however use arua sphere^___^

Nintendo definitely needs to put more thought and time into their games instead of cranking them out like a production line; otherwise, most people will likely stop buying.

Yeah, I liked the mom calls, too, but more so having your friends randomly call up, like, "LOL D00D I JUST BEET A CATRPEE NO WAI!!12" What made me laugh even more was when somehow they couldn't handle the Caterpie/Pidgey, and called you up just to tell you about how bad they suck. It was also neat when a friend called you to tell you about a rare Pokemon swarm or just wanted to share an item with you.

Buena's password was the shit, man. It's like, free rare items! Who could turn that down?

xP I suck at raising competitive battling Pokemon. I just use type advantages.

G/S/C for the win. I really hope they remake it... except it will be for some platform I don't have. T_T

I think the only legendaries I really like are Mew (what can I say, I love using the Red/Blue/Yellow bugs :3) and Entei (the first doggy I saw <3). There's too many legendary pokemon now. x_x

GSC holds the most nostalgia value - of that there can be no doubt. But let's not forget that RSE introduced Absol and Sableye... whereas GSC introduced Feraligatr and Unown.

here's an odd question but after playing the first one quite a lot, could you hear the battle music when you tried to sleep?

I started playing Pokemon Diamond for a while, then I got side-tracked by another video game, and then I got side-tracked from that game with ANOTHER game. BLASTED ADD!!! So yeah, my copy of Diamond is collecting dust. XD I should probably start playing it. ;>>

It's just I'm SOOOO tired of leveling up my pokemon in the Oreburgh Mines. All those Geodude just bring back bad memories from when I grinded at Mt. Moon. -_-;

There's this forest where you can double battle (a little while after the first badge). If you don't exit the forest, you can spend hours rape leveling your Pokemon. And if you need a no hassle Pokemon to beat the Oreburgh Gym, use a Lv.16 Onyx w/ Rock Smash and possibly 1 potion.

I agree that RSE introduced some Pokemon with admittedly badass designs, but other than that, it was like as Darkarcher stated, a "step sideways" from GSC. Contests were introduced, which have nothing to do with the main plot or battling whatsoever, but other than silly distractions, nothing really new came from this generation.

And, in my opinion, the new Pokemon from DP have hideous designs. Save for a few Pokemon such as Lucario, the Starters, Drifblim, Legendaries, etc., I believe the Nintendo designers are losing their touch. Or maybe there are so many Pokemon already out there, it's difficult for them to be creative anymore.

Of course, this is all pure speculation. I'm sure not everyone agrees with me on this one, but the oldies really are the goodies. I still play Pokemon because it's a fun way to waste time, but if Nintendo continues in this direction, I might just stop buying.

Sorta random but does anyone know how many eeveelutions there would be,and if Nintendo is planning an eeveelution for every type out there?

God tell me about it.
Not only do you have the Bidoof/Bibarel (Haha, toof and enamel with the prefix Bi[meaning two]) but there's Likiliki (WTF kind of a name?) and Togegetic's evolution which are horrible. Aside from that, though, I do like the direction they went. Frankly, RSE really did a poor job with creative Pokemon. The best ones they came up with were the ones made for Double Battles, such as Illumise/Volbeat, Plusle/Minun, and Ninjask/Shedinja. Aside from those, and the legendaries, they all sucked.
DP did a great job on their originals (aside from the select few, of course) and really made me relive my Red/Blue days. The designs seemed much closer to the original, which was a great thing to experience. Not to mention the kind of simplicity they opted for on Pokemon like Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf and Cresselia. Quite frankly if every legendary got more and more complicated, we'd end up with a mass clusterfuck of a Pokemon.
Still, DP did a damn fine job.

Loving the mix of BR/FRLG and GSC Pokemon.

My general team: Empoleon, Mismagius, Machoke, Roserade, Staraptor, and either Palkia or Graveler, depending on my mood. Generally Graveler, though. I'm pretty weak against Ice types, but those are often very few, and Machoke does well enough against them. Mismagius is capable of being a one-man army, with Psybeam, Dark Pulse, and Shadow Ball. Empoleon's partial steel makes only ground, fighting, and ice to be super effective. Roserade holds her own with high speed and special attack, often being able to paralyze, and then decimate. Staraptor is just plain fast. I'm planning on outing him with Noctowl, though, in order to put a little more of a duality in there. Graveler owns a rock attack, a ground attack, and a fighting attack, making it pretty tough, but in boosting his defenses, he lacks speed. Palkia I haven't really worked with. I use it for pretty much anything Dragon-based. I'm working on getting a Dragonite and a Garchomp, or maybe even a Gyarados, but I'll have to play around with each to find which one works the best.
Ice is pretty much my only weakness, though.
I do have a Rapidash, but it's so pathetic, and since I don't like using HM slaves (I refuse to catch Bidoof and Bibarel anyway) it generally just takes up space. She's fast, and has decent SpAttk, but that's about it.

But what surpized me when I first played was the...Wow I can't even remember it's name anymore....I haven't sleeped in 2 days forgive me about it. The thing that looks like a slugt it's blue you can find it right away in the game by where drifblim is on fridays *note you can find the slug anytime* later on you find a pink verion of it and if you didn't know it has 2 colors you think it's a shinny XD. It's evolution as Gasteodon * I can't spell on 0 sleep forgive me once again.) it had water pulse on it. I was actually shooked that something so earily in the game had it. I forget is the berry minigame wif also or no?

That's a pretty good team, but the Registeel seems out of place.

"Shellos"

My Team will probably be Swampert, Milotic, Salamence, Gengar, Lucario, and some alternate. I'm breeding Feebas right now, trying to decide which one would be best.

I think they did a great job on this game. It's complex enough for the Vets who want deep Gameplay, and simple enough for those who just want to train and have fun. The people who review it and say that it's the same old same old are very wrong.
