Default PlayStation 4
The PS4 has been officially announced and it should be released near the end of the year.

The console will use a new controller and will include a number of new social features. However, there will be no backwards compatibility but it will use cloud storage to play old generation games. PSN will remain a free service. The new console overall will be vastly more powerful than the PS3.

Announced games so far include Killzone shadow fall, Infamous second son and Driveclub.

The reason for no backwards compatibility is so that greedy Sony can still make a killing from the PS3.

So glad it's not actually going to be called the "orbis." Also, their integration of touch screen seems to be much more effective than the wii-u's: less cumbersome.

E3 is here!

The PS4 will be available for £350 near the end of the year and will be £100 cheaper then the Xbox One without any of the restrictions.

In a few month's time, my next-gen console purchase may well be the PS4. After having read reviews on both units, and some comparison reviews, the PS4 is best suited to what I want it for.

Of course, I'l still keep my Xbox 360, but the PS4 has won my attention this generation.
