If there was ever a mouse in my apartment my cat had better kill it.
But he doesn't even like to kill bugs. He just bats at them.

I have accidentally stepped on baby chicks in the chicken house in the past. It's dark in there and sometimes they blend in with the pine shavings on the floor. The crunch feeling is disturbing and the memory of it sticks around.
My cat was initially a stray when I got her, she's very used to hunting, killing, and eating things from the outdoors. She's been kept inside for the past 3 years, since she broke her leg and had a bout of pancreatitis afterwards. I can tell that she misses the smells of the outdoors, when she manage to run out the door she's just going around smelling EVERYTHING. [ As an aside, she has gotten kind of shy since then, even afraid of magick now. She escaped outside last week or so, ran over to the neighbor's house. You can't catch her until she has decided that she has won. So you can just stand there at a distance and keep her in sight. Two little girls on bikes rode up the road and realized there was a cat and said "THERE'S A KITTY? I WANT TO PET THE KITTY!" The cat saw them and took off at a flat run back over to the house and straight in the door. Now I know the next time she gets out, just need a stranger to approach her. ] With the mouse, she was LOVING the smell. Initially it was in a shoe box and she flipped the top on that. I caught her with two feet in smelling the mouse. Upgraded the mouse to an aquarium with a mesh top, tied onto the tank. The cat spent much of night around there, smelling and watching. After the mouse died I let the cat smell it and when I came back inside from dealing with the mouse she was halfway in the aquarium smelling around.

A few years back I was at my parents house and we noticed a duck with 6 ducklings in our garden, which is odd for us because the nearest body of water war a quarter mile away. We were all standing a the window looking at the cute ducklings when all of a sudden a fox jumps out of a bush, grabs one of the ducklings by the neck and darts back into the bush with it. The fox got two of the ducklings before we scared it away.

Bah, we have a condensation/mould problem in our bedroom. Much time must be devoted to clearing stuff out and cleaning it away.

there are only a handful I haven't heard of, though many I have not visited. I'm more confounded that Denny's is on the map, but Waffle House is not. The entire South should be capped, smothered, and covered... by Waffle House

Starbucks, In-N-Out, Chipotle, Whataburger, Sonic, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen, Panera, Popeyes, Krystal, KFC, McDonald's, Domino's, Wendy's, Steak n' Shake, Checkers, Coke (duh), Burger King, Denny's, Bojangles, Five Guys, Blimpie, Sbarro, Subway, Dunkin' Donuts, and Moe's are the ones i've heard of
and [^_^], this is chains that were from that state
