I got the information from here: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Tristan_Taylor
It says he uses BB guns, though. Maybe they're different? (Also, I made a mistake and wrote straight-shooter. I meant sharpshooter.) |

Yeah, BB guns, so far as I can tell, are okay to own in Japan.

Headcanon: I can totally see Joey as a smoker; Kaiba as a coffee addict.

My headcanon: I think that Ryou could be an asexual as he has never shown any interest in the opposite sex. In season 0, He had all these girls around him and he didn't seem to even care about them.
I know there are many reasons on why he might not show attraction towards anyone. Regardless, I still think asexuality is the best orientation for him unless we see more character development that's actually canon (which is unlikely). Last edited by Cookieness; 05-26-2012 at 09:16 PM. |

Actually I remember a screencap from one of the Duelist Kingdom duels (specific and helpful, aren't I?) where he had placed his arm around Joey, perhaps out of anxiety, perhaps not. So, like a good fan, I wouldn't discount homosexuality for Ryou; in my headcrack I believe he would be homosexual. As I've stated beforehand, I think Kaiba could be the asexual one.
And as for Joey and smoking, I can see it happen. Same for Kaiba and coffee, although that would come after a period of succumbing to the addiction. I imagine him originally refusing coffee because of the fear of forming reliance on something. |

Why is everybody if writer/fangirl/boy or 'character' so obsessed with sex?
[ I guess, I have some asexual tendencies (that's more meant as a joke Mardigny/Einzel). I'm not really interested into sex unless it's well duh... um... you know things and things. But if it's not like this I go 'nope'. ] Kaiba and coffee as well as Jou and cigarettes are fine with me. Althought people who don't smoke should be careful with writing him, because some writer tend to let him smoke a bit too much. ;) |

And not being sexually active or not looking to have sex doesn't make one asexual. They are not the same thing. |

^ good that we finally understand each other. :)
Sometimes I have the feeling that everything is about sex as if it's the most important thing. But tastes differ and if people really like sex, fine with me. I can also understand when people without any sexual experiences (I mean sex here and nothing else) are kind of obsessed with the idea of having sex, but... um... sometimes it's too much, especially when those people only know how sex might be from porn and fiction. And then a lot of smut scenes become clichée and lack on emotions. And about cigarettes and addictions... yes, but smoking one cigarette one by one is really uncommon. Some writers, not YGO in particular, tend to overdo things. But okay, their fiction. I don't have to read it ;) |

The original anime takes place in Japan, but the dub version takes place in the USA. I tried to figure out where in the USA it would take.
The best I could come up with was either one of the islands of New York or maybe some other island (that might be fictional and not actually exist) off the coast of Washington State. There are real islands off the coast of Washington State, but they might not be big enough to house a city like Domino. Duelist Kingdom could be Fire Island (if it's New York) or just another fictional island (if it's off the coast of Washington). It makes a lot more sense than what I came up with when I was in high school (that dub-Domino was in Mississippi and Duelist Kingdom was Ship Island). |

About the USA... Idk, I've never been there, I prefered a trip to Africa when I had the choice... mhm but maybe... I would locate Domino somewhere at the west coast. Just my musings... |

Considering the Industrial Illusions headquarters is in San Francisco, this makes sense.

Sometimes I write stories where Tristan's parents don't like his friends. They especially don't like Joey. They're kind of classist.
