Then again, proof that you have the power of the Gods seems like something to show off... but I don't see the purpose of the Uber and Non-Uber stuff when Gen 5 is introducing even more broken stuff.

(Nothing personal, just not a fan of Generation 5, and I've heard that the Rock-Flying type has an ability that makes it broken.)

Call me old fashioned or whatever, but is it backward of me to not really like any games after gold and silver?

Not at all, most people agree that was the peak of the handheld games being great.

Oh right, Ash's Pikachu...
Well there's no good Toys R Us around here so I'll pass on that one. |

Best Wishes is amazing so far. And the dub is actually really good! They even kept the original background music and brought back "Who's that Pokemon?"

I'm suprised no one is talking about black and white since it's release on sunday. Well i got mine at sunday at 7am and couldn't put it down since, it's got noticable changes from other pokemon games and with all brand new (Ugly) pokemon it feels like a new adventure, I really recommend you all get it!

I bought Black when it came out, sadly it looks like they have run out of idea and have tried to do something closer to the first 150 pokemon... But seriously a Black Bin Liner called 'Trubbish', a Zebra called "Zebstrika"...The list is endless Kinda cringing if you ask me... |

It's set in America, which is dumb. Therefore, they have little to work with, and have to make up names so it feels like Pokemon. :\

Well I've beaten the game now. Overall it was a nice experience but the postgame's a tad shallow.
Working on some other aspects of the game now. |

I got the new Pokemon white.
I'm truly not impressed. After Soul Silver/Heart Gold I was disappointed in the features. Like, I couldn't transfer pokemon from my GBA game. Also, there's only one region. It's an easy beat. |

I got PKMN White too. It's truly easily beat (not done yet though), but I like the Global Trading. Call me dumb, but it's fun. Since with White, I can actually get on Wi-fi.
I also like Triple Battles. They are pretty cool in general. |

Right now, I'm trying to train a Milotic in Black, but again, I'm having troubles with the breeding, because I don't remember how to give it the special moves.
These are the egg moves Feebas can learn. I'm hoping to make an egg so that the Feebas has Brine, Iron Tail, and Dragonbreath, but that might not be possible. THE POINT IS, which is it again that has to know the move? The father, right? So that means I need to have a female Feebas/Milotic to be able to do it? |

I'm catching up on my backlog with SoulSilver... I'm just at the stage where I'm facing the Pokemon league...
By the time I get through Victory Road and start on the Elite Four, my Feraligatr, Typhlosion and Meganium will be like Level 60... they're already at Lvl 51 before entering Victory Road lolz My SoulSilver line-up pre-Victory Road: - Feraligatr Lvl 51 - Meganium Lvl 51 - Typhlosion Lvl 51 - Pidgeot Lvl 40 - Onix Lvl 26 - Red Gyarados Lvl 31/Togetic Lvl 28 My Red Gyarados has the Waterfall HM, and my Togetic has the Flash TM, so I change them around a bit :V I'll be starting on Pokemon White (which is waiting patiently in my game case) after I've beaten SoulSilver |

Alright, what if I just wanted to have it learn Dragon Pulse? (Not one of the ones I originally wanted, but I didn't really pay attention to ALL the moves, so this one is a bonus.)

I love pokemon. My favorite pokemon are all the eevee evolutions. But I also adore all the dogs from the Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby games. Especially Absol.<3

Otherwise to get one with just Dragon Pulse you'd breed a female Feebas/Milotic with any of the male pokemon listed that has Dragon Pulse. |

Oh, okay. So it IS the father that has to know the move. Thanks.

But consider this: Dawn was the 2.0 character for the female protagonist from FireRed/LeafGreen. But the female protagonist from FireRed/LeafGreen wouldn't exist if not for Green, the character Hidenori Kusaka created for the manga, and also the first ever female protagonist in Pokemon.
So really, this started way before Dawn. This has been going on for almost the entirety of Pokemon's existence. It could even be said that since Green's character debuted in 1998, every female protagonist in Pokemon has been somewhat based on her. So not only is Iris nothing new, but the concept of Iris being nothing new, is nothing new. Last edited by KidsDR; 03-24-2011 at 04:31 PM. |

I do agree with you that, with the exception of Krys, pretty much all the female protagonists have been cut from the same mold. The male protagonists have varied a little more but have more or less the same core design. I think you mean White/Touko/Hilda? |

Also, the concept art for Green's character in Japan became Blue/Gary in the English release. I'm assuming that's who you're talking about, since the Green I'm talking about was called Blue in the Japanese version (the name swap here is psychotically confusing), and was a character created specifically for the manga, and who, like I said before, later became the female protagonist in FireRed/Leaf Green. |
