Yeah... that's probably the most significant thing in that exceedingly short article If the law does distinguish between "persons" and "animals" already, then the whole article is completely redundant, as is this thread... Besides, there's the whole common sense point that provides that when people refer to "animals" they're usually referring solely to "non-human animals" i.e. animals that are not people This is possibly the most redundant thing I've ever seen >_>

I've actually been following this ever since it was posted on Fark. It looks like the first in what could be a series of laws passed against bestiality. Although I wouldn't put it past Florida to actually pass a law that would ban sex (anyone who reads Fark knows that Florida has its own tag) this makes for an interesting headline and nothing else.
