April 2013 Contest

The theme for this month is cooking. Specifically, contestants will be baking a cake to the theme of YGO:TAS. Creativity is encouraged, though it would preferably reference something from either the Abridged Series itself or the YGO show. Preferably YGO:TAS specifically, though.

Entries will be accepted until the 25th of April. Judging will then commence and continue until the end of April.

Submit pictures of the cakes to me via PM, of course.

There will be a prize for first place.

I have an idea for a cake, but I might need to find cheap poundcake mix, and hit the goodwill to see if I can find a prop for the cake.

Question: With wedding planning, and deposits going for the cake and photographer, I sort of ran out of money for the little extra props, I wanted to use in the cake design. Would it be ok if I did the base of the cake, and photoshopped the props in so you all could get an Idea of what I was trying to do?

That's the thing, I don't know who to vote for. I refuse to vote for myself in any competition. But I truly can't decide between Praise and Muse's cakes, which I like better.

I'm going to vote for musigal's cake. Yugi's face may have melted off, but it was an ambitious project which I admire. Its hard to make cakes which don't conform to a pan size and I think it turned out pretty well considering.
