July 2013 Contest - The Ultimate Challenge of Doom
Welcome, brave soul, and embark on a quest so daring, so bold, so… challenging.
This summer, MrsSallyBakura and the staff at Yu-Gi-Oh: The Abridged Series Forums gives you: The Ultimate Challenge of Doom What is The Ultimate Challenge of Doom (TUCD), you ask? Well, it is a contest divided into rounds, and during each round, each participant must complete particular tasks to qualify for the next round. Maximum number of participants: 20 No moderators or administrators are allowed to participate. Total number of rounds: 5 Number of winners: 3 (first, second and third places) Prizes (these are adjustable based on the number of actual participants): For places 16 to 20: Custom Title of your choosing for One Day For places 11 to 15: Custom Title of your choosing for One Week For places 6 to 10: Custom Title of your choosing for One Month For places 4 and 5: Custom Title of your choosing for Two Months For third place: $5 dollar gift card from Amazon and Custom Title of your choosing for Three Months For second place: $10 dollar gift card from Amazon and Custom Title of your choosing for Four Months For first place: $20 dollar gift card from Amazon and Custom Title of your choosing for Six Months Custom Titles will be given after the contest. If you already have a permanent Custom Title, then you may have a different prize of your choosing in place of the title. The prize must be approved by Sally and Face. The Rules: Each round will last for 3 days. Day 1: Round Start Day 2: Round End and Judging Day 3: Announcing of the winners and losers; recoil and prep for next round. -Each participant has 24 hours to complete the task given in each round. Participants need to send their entries via PM to MrsSallyBakura before the 24 hours has passed. Anything given to her beyond that time will not count as part of the round, so you will be disqualified, and you will not receive your Custom Title at all. -While participants are required to submit entries via PM, they may use the thread to converse about TUCD as much as they desire. -Participants will need to have some way to take digital pictures. There are many means of doing this: digital camera, cell phone, webcam, iPad, or even a disposable camera + a scanner. -Participants will also need to upload pictures from their computer to an image hosting website. If you need assistance with this, please refer to The Newbie Guide. -Please do not use images that you did not produce yourself in this contest. We have every right to disqualify you if we highly suspect that you are using an Internet search engine for your content. -Participants are not required to answer every question or fulfill every requirement - you will just receive zero points for every missing item. -For all rounds: In the case of a tie of the lowest players [point wise]; the rapidness of sending in the PM will determine who ends up being eliminated. --- If you are ready to sign up for the contest, simply say, “I sign up,” and we will put your name on the list of participants. Signups will start on Monday, July 1, and they will end on Wednesday, July 10. After signups have ended, we will post a complete schedule of events for each round.
