My favorite part was when Melvin was like, "Well, if it isn't Dora the explorer..." And Marik instantly yells "WHERE?!"

I liked the part when the part where Atemu also said Koiba. the whole plot relevant thing outside the children's card game was also great, for example the dream, Mairk's excuse for leaving, Melvin's phonecall and so on.
the card game itself wasn't very good in my opinion. The part where Joey gained control of the blue eyes was missing. That part had so much potential, but it wasn't used "No! no! he is my dragon. mine alone." "stop touching my dragon" or "now I will use this video game controller to insert your dragon into my side of the field". so much jokes could have been made but instead it was left out. that was disappointing.
I thing my favourite part was "think of all the stomach exposing tops I'll never get to wear."

Well I think the reason he left that out was so he could make the joke of how Koi--I mean Kaiba got a FTK even if that didn't actually happen

I saw on LK's tumblr, someone asked him to make a joke on that, but LK replied that he wasn't even going to acknowledge their duel anyway XD

The huge overload of sex jokes and swear words made me really uncomfortable, so it was hard to enjoy this one as much as Crowd Atlas, which I loved very much, (Ep 59 may also be my favorite of YGOTAS), but my favorite parts were:
Joey: "But like my dad said before he died of alcohol poisoning, "What doesn't kill ya' only makes you stronger!""
Yami: "Huh, win the bronze medal! Oh ho ho that's cute! I like it. Oh ho ho! Hilarious! You're a funny guy, Joey!"
Tea, Yami, Kaiba, Tristan: "Joey's right! There are no real losers in Duel Monsters." "HUH!" "HA!" "HEH!"
Mokuba: "*Puppy whine*"
Jerry, Melvin: "Sir, sir, SIR, sir!" "WHAT!?" "Calm down, okay?" "Okay." "Calm down." "Okay, I'm calm." "We're calm." "We're calm." "We're calm." "We're calm."
Yami: "Awww Joey! Koiba is going to slaughter him!"
Tea, Yami: "How would playing a card game make you sweat?" "Clearly you have never played the Dark Magician Girl."
Marik: "I, the evil Marik Ishtar, shall take control of their friend, Tee Gawdna, and force her to do my bidding!"
Yami: "You do that, Tee."
Ishizu: "Putting yourself in the body of a helpless girl so that you can defeat the ultimate evil. That's pretty stupid even by your standards."
Joey, Kaiba: "I hate you!" "I hate you a slightly larger amount!"
Melvin, Marik: "Don't you know that even if you succeeded in killing me, you'd be losing the only chance at regaining your body. It would just be like killing yourself!" "Curses! Out of all the air tight plans I created, this just had to be the one to fail!" "I'm going to enjoy carving you into a thousand pieces!" "But wait, what about what you said before!? It would be like killing yourself!!"
Melvin: "Wifi mode ON!"
Melvin, Marik: "Say hello to the Shadow Realm, Marik!" "HELLO SHADOW REALM!"

I like Tea, but I'm used to it spelled Taya (I had a best friend in elementary school with that name). If I'm not mistaken, Anzu means apricot, so maybe the name Tea Gardner was some sort of pun on purpose or something.

I'm confused wheather Anzu means peach or apricot. The character profile on the manga listed both. No Anzu can't mean peach. Momo means peach. Anzu actually means apricot. I think the first time the manga mistranslated her name as peach. Oh well Peach Shipping sounds catchier than Apricot Shipping.

that joke is old by now.
and it was actually unfunny right from the beginning, when Koiba summoned 3 blue eyes white dragons in one turn or Maco and joey never played a card game.

Well it's an abridged series. Mako and Joey did have their duel. It just went by really fast. Just like every other duel in the series.

Hence the abridged part.

Well as you can see in my previous post, I still managed to find lots of jokes that I loved XD Often times some of the jokes LK makes make me uncomfortable, and me being Christian makes it all the more uncomfortable most of the time with all the sex jokes and swear words, but I still love YGOTAS to death and strongly appreciate everything LK's done to revive the fandom <3

lolwhat the duel against Joey and Kaiba was actually pretty damn good originally and had some great character development for them both, but LK blotched all the potential it had for more over the top, predictable Marik jokes. It wasn't good, but not because of lacking material.

Especially considering Joey steals Kaiba's BEWD and turns it against him during the duel, which totally fucks with Kaiba's head and every assumption he had about Joey's skills but lets just skip on that whole two year realization for Kaiba and just turn him into an irredeemable douche bag for no damn reason whatsoever and have Marik tit jokes. Because that's totally abridging YGO.


Not trying to insult LK, but I feel like he's catering more to his own favorite characters and pairings instead of actually joking about the canon aspects of the show. For me at least, someone who is a huge fan of real Yugioh, it's extremely aggravating to see. YGOTAS used to be really funny at first but now its slowly go down hill and begin to cater to its own universe instead of sticking to what it used to be about.

I can see your point, I did really enjoy it when he stuck to the canon more. Regardless, I don't have a problem with him going off in his own direction, especially since I still find it really funny. Besides, it's his abridged series, he can do what he wants with it.
