Who loves the troublesome egyptian? I mean heck he means well, he wants to kill the pharoah (totally on board with that) and he's willing to give Bakura (praise be unto him) the millennium rod.

Because he is the most sadistic, most twisted, and most truely evil character in teh entire series. I don;t even think Zorc can compare to the down right TWISTED methods Yami no Marik goes to torment his victims. Zorc is a brute and uber powerful, but his methods are not anywhere as... fiendish as Yami no Marik's. And we ALL saw what happened when Yami no Bakura met up with Yami no Marik... Bakura got destroyed... practically literally.

And because he has an awesome creepy laugh.

Oh, and he doesn't wear effeminent clothing. XP

Because he was created that way by Marik. It was all his rage, anger, jealousy, pain, and hatred rolled into one phantom of darkness. He is one demensional because of that. He has no emotions. He has no attachments. He is just Pure Evil personified. That is who he is, and that is what makes him awesome.

Are you going to really say that Sasuke and Marik don't have anything in common?

1) Both are out for revenge because they feel they have been wronged by one person. Sasuke it was his brother Itachi. Marik it is the Nameless Pharaoh.

2) Both will stop at nothing to get their revenge.

3) Both have a tragic history that is kinda creepily similar. (Family nearly wiped out, etc.)

4) Both are very cold and distant (especially Shippuden Sasuke compared to marik.)

5) Both have a strange fixation for a brother figure.

I could go on.
