Played the 3DS at the stall Nintendo set up in the Lakeside "mall" (just so you Americans can understand)
It was friggen amazing. Friggen. Amazing. The augmented reality = bitchin' The 3D quality = better than cinema The fact that you can adjust the depth of the 3D = really, really helpful The new joystick looking thing above the d-pad is really smooth and works very well. Screen size and quality are both excellent... Everything that was good about the DS, DSi and DSiXL is in the 3DS, plus more. Gotta say, the augmented reality really was one of the best things about it. Very impressed. I may purchase it sooner rather than later :V

It's awesome.
Pure awesome. Battery life is short though, but Nintendo give a docking station to use with the charger, and the charger itself has a very long wire... both of which are very good points. The battery disadvantage is mitigated somewhat by these points. The adjustable depth is great - amazing quality. Everything feels very solid (which is a good job because the person in the shop dropped the box while she took the security tag off of it). I love the fact that the internet can be turned on and off with a switch on the side (although it is in the exact place the DS Lite's power switch used to be) Bundled software is great, and the promise of the update in late May will only make it better Kanga's playing Nintendogs now... and appears to be enjoying it ^_^ It's just... wow... just plain wow
