This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

you mean a online FF game that isnt ff11... the first one is addictive enough :-P (adictive as in a bad thing)

Hmm *thinks about merging Ruku , Selphi and Eriko*....no that would just be evil... I would of just created the most anoying character in the world... even more anoying then Garnet...

I own FFIII for DS but I haven't beaten it. They relied to much on popularity of the franchise and graphics to push it through, so I stopped playing it. I'll still buy the new FFIV game for DS when it comes out though 'cause that's one of my favorites.

BTW: FFX-2 would never had happened if it weren't for whiny fans so yeah it does suck.

Ah I was wondering how that game would be.... because i liked the nes version (half way through it)

True, but they did end FFX on a very open page, can you be suprised some players wanted to see the story tied up?

Its proabbly better then the the fact that dubble that number (possibly more) of fans want to make a graphical remake of FF7? No new plot just that game with better graphics. At least ffx2 brought somthing more then just better graphics.

And in a way with your logic , then every spin off of Final fantasy 7 sucks , because they where made becuase fans would by them. That would include
Crisis core
Advent children
And the Vincent game ( I admit that one sucked)

The same logic could be run on to alot of square-enex games if you use the logic you presented :) Included:
Kinngdom hearts
Chocobo dungons'
Chocobo racicing
Exheriz
Crystal crhonicals 1 and 2
And Any Invalice game after FFtactics (this includes FFTactics advanced and ff12)
:)

Mind you I could likst most games on the market with that logic and claim they suck :) Esapacallly every Final fantasy game after one... every Final fantsy game after one is just because "whiney fans" wanted more :-P

I'd buy a sequel to FF6. Maybe a prequel, because [ there is no magic at the end of FF6 ] I want more Shadow, Celes, and Kefka. A game showing Kefka before he was insane would be nice... maybe when he was a good general working with Leo, Celes and Geshtahl, conquering the world, and then halfway through the game he goes through the magic experiments and becomes the insane clown magician he is.

FF8 was my favorite personally, FF3 is a good one to for DS. FF7 was great same as for FF10 FF10 2 however, i don't really like to count as an actuall FF game since it didn't really have a story and was just a pretty shity sequil to FF10. FF11....(No comment) FF12 was alright but they ruined the battle system. FF13, not out yet, but it looks like it will be awsome! But i'm not going to critisize it yet untill it actually comes out. FF9, that one was my first FF game i have ever played, it's alright not the best but it was pretty good. FF1 & 2 aren't really good ones....all they realy had was the classes and battle system that gave them the title of Final Fantasy. That's about it because i have never played 4 i heard 5 was like 1 & 2 i think or was it 3? Or was it 6 that was like those idk lmao xD

I have FF12 on my wishlist. The fallowing is a scale of what I've heard and what I like vs. what I don't like.

The good:
I hear it's really addicting.+3
It's an RPG with real-time combat.+20

The bad:
Some of the costumes look really gay.-5
The aim mechanic makes it look like you pee on the target.-14

I don't think there are any more deciding factors that I know of. But really, that aim is really irritating. Would someone please convince me to get it?

I have 19 FF games/movies/whatever in total. excluding figures, strategy guides and stuffs.

I find FF1 the hardest out of all of them. I have the Dawn of souls version and the 50 floor dungeons... urgh... deadly. but other than that, I love the game. FF2 is one of my favourites. I beat the final boss in 2 shots XD but I haven't completed the Soul of Rebirth... My characters just aren't good enough yet.
FF3, I have the DS game, and for some reason I haven't played further in it. I don't remember... I might be stuck.
FF4, I have nearly completed, just a little way to go still.
FF5, I haven't started yet.
FF6, I haven't started yet either but my brother's played it.
FF7 - I love this game. Sephiroth is so awesome! *sings One Winged Angel FFVII AC* and I've nearly completed this one too. FF7 DoC, I'm half way but I want to leave this til i've done the actual FF7 game.
FF10 and 10-2. I see these two games as one. FF10 is definitely my favourite, but I don't really consider 10-2 to be a separate story, as such. Just a look at how Spira is getting along. So by viewing it that way, I really like it.
FF11 - can't play <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley6.png'> I can't pay monthly...
FF12, oh yeah I like this one. The graphics are gorgeous, and the story is pretty good too. It's gone back to the more traditional FF theme, so I think it lacks a tiiiiiny bit of character depth, but then I'm just spoilt by the other FF games XD And I haven't played Revanent wings yet, but I have it.
And then there's the other random games, like chocobo tales *which I absolutely love* and the tactics games... but I hate strategy battles like those, so I never play them.

"-_- sorry for the long list, but as you can tell, I'm a huge final fantasy enthusiast...

I seriously can't wait for crisis core to come out. Oh yeah, apparantly there'll be a FF game for the mobile/cell phone coming out, which I think is a bit unfair, since some aren't able to get phone games *such as myself* I mean, I wouldn't even be able to get it, just to say I have it, because it's a subscription type thingy.
Though I may be wrong...

Blasphemy!!!! I resent that comment greatly! FF9 was way better than 8 in ALOMST every way. Like the story line for example. Not picking a fight I am just saying.... I love FF9 and I don't like to hear bad talk about it... But I would trade Steiner for Irvine any day.

I really wish that Square Enix would remake Final Fantasy 7 for the PS3...
the demo they made ~last year~ was beautiful (the one with the intro of Final Fantasy 7 in high def on the PS3..)

i have these final fantasy games:
ff 1,2 and 3 are ok i guess
final fantasy tactics is just awful. i dont really know what the are saying.
final fantasy VII which is just the best.
final fantasy VIII i didn't really like for some reason
final fantasy X is good but i think auron is the only really cool character
final fantasy XII is a lot different from the others not just in the battle system but its so bright and shiny where the others are dark and enigmatic. still great though
final fantasy VII doc this is the second best because of the story and you get to jump around and do flips while shooting.
final fantasy crisis core is good but once you finish the storyline the missions really suck
final fantasy XII revenant wings i dont like
i know its not a game but the FFVII movie was really cool.
FINAL FANTASY RULES!!!!

the good one's is I-VI and IX
VII is okey but don't have the standard of the older games... like sonic the hedgehog
VIII I didn't get into since my emu sucked but I HATE the future seting
X never played but from the things I've heard it isn't so good
XII WORST rpg I've ever played... I think... battle system sucks....
IX is good becouse of the story is somewhat in the older games, great "learning"-system and is some what challenging
I it's so damn challenging and has a good story for it's time.
II good system in "learning" and a good story
III haven't played to much of it but it seems to kick ass.
IV A great game but not so challeging as others
V Great "learning" system, great story and has a good challenge
VI the BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!mainly since the villan PWNZ! :P

Final Fantasy 1-6 Havnt played since they came out on snes and nes should really re play them.
FF7 - Crisis core - Excellent storyline very different fighting style but it passes - 7/10
FF7 - Excellent storyline Best Evil character ever first 3D final fantasy ever - 9/10
FF8 - Great storyline lack of original characters GF system was interesting but repetitive by the end - 6.5/10
FF9 - Great theme average story noting to jump out and amaze very average game. - 5/10
FF10 - Fresh start Squaresofts last game good story enjoyable different battle systems good game - 7/10
FF10-2 - Story sucked characters are 3 girls yay for originality but it gave proper closure for ff10 - 5.5/10
FF11 - Tried to be a final fantasy WOW .... both games are epic phail - 1/10
FF12- I dont know what to say, Vann was more annoying then a room full of feminists on their periods
the other characters gave me the shits except for Balthier, the story was all over the place and
the moving away from Turn based system really failed in this game .. possibly the worst rpg made
by square enix. -3/10

Theres my 2c as some one thats played ff from the beginning

That is to your opinion tho.

You see X-2 Was Square-Enix's First game as a combined company with "New innovation" so I gave it some lee way as to how bad it is yes, but I was able to finish it from start to finish,

Where with 12 they have been Square-Enix for some time now and still made that piece of Sh** I tried to play it thru again recently I couldnt bring my self to get past the first tomb for the mid light shard.

That is why X-2 is rated higher.

Crisis core had beautiful cinematic scenes, it brought a chance to show the great Sephiroth as a sane and understanding character. Zack had a much more enthusiastic personality then Cloud did being a much more enjoyable character to play then Cloud him self.

They brought back all old monsters and re did the music, they didnt go overboard and try to re invent the entire game, only the fighting, they did the whole real time movement much better then in 12. While filling in the plot holes and past from final fantasy 7.

Over all it was a very successful game I have heard nothing but excellent reviews from all over, you would be the first to have something bad to say about it.

One I am looking froward to is Final Fantasy Dissida check this video out.

Well Sephiroth was voted in the top 5 evil characters again this year by IGN and 1UP. Others 2 but they usually dont count

You say that the story wasn't excellent tell me where it flaws dont try and insult me and walk off like a 3 year old girl. Tell me how old are you? because someone thats 17 or younger can not have an actual taste in video games as you were brought up on higher consoles where the games started to rely purley on graphics and no longer story structure and character building.

Its what abilities and what do they look like ..

btw your not funny using an overused line like that .. seriously

Please,

OK now here we go for Crisis Core, Crisis Core is above and beyong the call to mediocre games, aside from the new music in it, and the scenes of course, this battle system is the stupidest thing square has done, maybe ever, NO i'm not an old school fan of non-turnbased FF games, as FFXII is great, and Dirge was a decent shooter just uninteresting, but CC was just bad, an overly dumbed down version of the Kingdom Hearts sytem which I love. where you can't jump, the battles are easily foreseen and the game is EASY, VERY VERY EASY, I played thorugh it one handed to prove a point to my friend that the battle system for this game is overly simplified. you don't need to do the repetetive and oh so annoying missions, nor do you need to level up any of the materia, I can use Fire, Cure and Vital Strike the whole way through and beat it with never really feeling threatened for my HP being 0. the DEATH spell is the ONLY thing worth making me almost flinch, but by god just dodge it at the right time and your're invincible, no need for directions in battle because you run right at them, if they aren't bosses or BIG monsters you can win by spamming X on attack and above all else "Activating Combat Mode" has got to be the worst idea Square has ever come up with in a game because THAT is annoying.

The story is fine, and kinda fun, Zack is cool, and even though I knew how it would end was still compelling to finish, but the GAMEPLAY in this game was one of the worst ideas they've had in forever, half because of the DMW system which is the stupidest Special Attack mode since the Trance in FFIX and it made me wanna shoot cum all over the head of whoever thought of it and then make him clean it with sandpaper. Any system for which you have practically 0 control on when it goes off, and you get it off on a half dead griffon but won't do shit against a boss is awful. Even IF you don't need it at all.

The story isn't what makes a game, the gameplay is, everything else from music to voice acting to cinematics, are just there too keep you going, and then the gameplay sucks ass, the game does too. Even if I liked characters and all taht, it doesn't have an excuse for the game itself.

Now this goes for X-2 also (everything actually), one it wasn't their first game together, first FF sure, but not game, and second they ruined everyhting FF was in general making it a cosplay fest with lack of summons and real magic. The fluidity of the normal attack was nice, but doing anything else deviated to crap. So it was a failure as test 1.

ANd now why did XII's battle system suck? You can't just call it shit, and get over it. WHY?! It's just an ATB system that all FF's use, except now you move around, the weapons system, or licencing system, was just as good as sphere grid in X just medieval like., The Quickening system is the new limit break system that was overpowered and alienating and weird, but hey still better than Trance from IX and DMW. What was wrong with the system in YOUR eyes? I didn't like the characters in it, aside from Fran, didn't like story, loved the setting, finally back, and the music was great but the lack of victory theme only on boss fights annoyed me. Let alone, AMAZING CG and BATTLES bladdy bla bla...

and I can't wait for Dissidia too, looks awesome, been following forever can't wait, first gameplay looked nice!
and i liked Danny jokes......

You're kind of an idiot for thinking I'm young, because it's mostly young kids who think Final Fantasy VII's storyline is deep. When you get older and play it again you realize they are kind of making it up as they go along. And if you'd been paying attention to my posts at all, you'd know that VI is my favorite. So your ad hominem? Fails.

And back to the point of age... anyone over 16 knows IGN polls mean dick. So, in closing, you're an idiot, but we all knew that.

Again, stop yelling random things and point shi'te out. WHY!?!?

You an't dodge in any other numberred FF, gambits are the auto ability in every other game and the licensing system is teh same as sphere grid, so come on nwo, give the details.

What the hell are you writting?
And WHAT auto ability system(wich(spelling?) games??)?? Never seen it and gambits are bad in AT LEAST the begining wehn you heal ever 60% so all mana disappear and no elemental or someone constantly heal! The problem with gambits is that the ones you get first forhealing has to high procent! if you got 30% or at least 50% it wouldn't been a problem but to start on 70% and then get 60% is anoying. As I wrote in post 48 I haven't played 10 so I don't know how sphere grid is but I hate the license board. I mean have to learn how to use armor?? That's stupid! if it was abilitys it woud been okay or level restriction. okey the dodging would been to much IF it weren't for the damn battlesystems areas that you can move like 3 meter away from the attack range and still be hit wich(spelling?)also happens in any mmorpg.and this isn't even one!I mean why couldn't the have made it like parasite eve if they did this sort of system, alright the areas is bigger here but it is just stupid!

You have got to be kidding me.

The auto abilities? In almost every FF from VII and up at least, you have auto equips that allow your people to use a potion or item or whatever after a certain objective is met. Like low life, the gambit system is just that, but you can make them do many at a time. Second you don't NEED gambits, it's not there as an important part of gameplay. You use if you want. My first time through I only used the auto heal >30% you speak of, and I only started doing it well past the halfway point in the game. So you failing to utilize it correctly is mainly a bad choice on your part.

license system, now like everyone I laughed in stupidity when you see Ribbon or Hat and need a license, but that's being nitpicky, a large majority of the list was extra abilities, magic, attack, item proficiency and weapons. So the ability to wear an item wasn't even a main focus, let alone asking yourself "Could you wear dark chainmail and use it right off the bat?" NO you got to learn it., aka you stare at the little part that pisses you off and just totally forget about the rest.

Oh god your system, the system was the same system from FF IV and up, except you can move, it's an ATB batle system, all MMOs use teh atb system but allow you constant movement, and this game went with it, MMOs don't use it because it's an MMO style, it's just a good to work with in multiple battles. FF XII took it and made it a little more technical but its the same damn thing. An atb system like every other FF from 4 and up, except you can move. Andin atb you can't willingly dodge, they would have to make it real time combat to do so, then it would be Kingdom Hearts XII. And the Parasite Eve system with a party would be a terrible terrible idea

It's been a long time, but a friend of mine lent me his copy of FF12. And as of last Wednesday, I got my own because I love it. Being able to turn off the targeting lines was really nice and it's the first FF game without a stupid love story.

Now if I could only get passed that stupid door in the Feywood.
