Harman Smith from Killer 7. That old man is way too awesome for his own good when he gets into action. It also cracks me up every time I see him draw his super-high-powered sniper rifle and use it from his wheelchair.

Why? Crisis Core was everything FF7 wasn't: Addictive, awesome, etc. Plus CC had the most epic FF ending ever.
Still prefer FF9 though...

Wow, a lot of nintendo fans on this forum then.
But It think Master Chief owns. i don't even need to say from which game, we all know. The games are brilliant, but if you read the backstory, you'll love the whole halo universe like i do. I'm a complete geek so I've read the books as well, which helps towards showing him as the best video game character. I know this wasn't in the video games, but this amuses me from one of the books: He's just had his body augmentations. He's working out in the gym...Then some ODST's come in and start to bully him. A higher ranking officer comes in and says they should sort out differences in the the boxing ring. So 3 odst's vs john-117. The chief breaks the neck of one of them with a single punch, then proceeds to accidentally kill the other two in the ring because his doesn't yet know his real strength. how badass is that?! That's why I think he deserves the title of best video game character.

There's nothing wrong with people saying they like Captain Falcon because they love him in the anime or in Smash Brothers. Though I do own an F-Zero game, you wouldn't need it to appreciate how epic Cap'n Falcon is.
Okay, new character for the thread. The Peasant character from Castle Crashers. Also, after recently playing Little Big Planet for the first time, I would most definately have to say Sackboy.

Hahaha, heck yes, Travis Touchdown! I'm astounded that I didn't think of him sooner! That reminds me, I so need to go out and buy No More Heroes, it's only 20$ now in most places.
And now that you've mentioned NMH, you've reminded me of one of my favorites from there. Henry! He was so awesome, not to mention his insta-kill attack was really cool to watch. All of the bosses in that game were pretty funny or interesting in some way, but Henry is easily the coolest one.

just commenting on the amount Nintendo fans, didn't mean anything by it.
And he is a video game character, i could list off reams of material why i think he's the best, (all from the VIDEO GAMES) but I won't, as it seems you wouldn't be willing to listen. If someone said "who's harry potter?" You'd reply with "a character from a book" You wouldn't say "a book character who has been adapted to a film and lots of merchandise including a video game, therefore he's not a book character at all, but a multi format character." Only people who want to get slapped would say that.
