YAY I started with Totodile too and I focused on it but after awhile I didn't need any other pokemon...specially after I got ti to level 100 and cloned the hell out of it XD

Nah, They probably won't remake a third game (See the remake of yellow? THought not ^_^)

But it doesn't really matter, Just catch Suicune in the wild by undertaking the long side quest of the three legendary dogs

That's a bad example. Yellow is the fourth game of that generation. There were rumours of there being a Blue remake, but they stopped after realising it would be identical to LeafGreen. Yellow did not need to be remade, because, aside from the Pikachu following you around, there was virtually no difference.

Crystal has a more character-based driven storyline. So we can hope.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who did this. Up until Pearl/Diamond/Platinum, I always made my starter a tank and just switched out my team when I caught higher leveled Pokemon. In Platinum I STILL can't beat Cynthia because soem of my Pokemon ar ebehind in level. I must have ebaten the Elite 4 but not her 20 times by now.

On Topic, I LOVED G/S, my favorite of the series, so this news comes as great news.

I actually started replaying the origional when i heard about this (ROM fond one that 100% works in every way ^_^)

But I am not that excited of the Pokemon following me...
Not as much as you guys, I am worried,
My starter was not my favourite and sometimes I didn't even use it (I prefer the paths of multiple evolutions)

I would much prefer if your top pokemon in your party follows you, Otherwise its not that much in my mind... (Sides, Just imagine having the top evolved form following you all the time...)

If you take Kris from pokemon Crystal and the new female protagonist and mix them together you get Crystal from the manga. Trufax.

Oh, so they've replaced Kris with Soul? Doesn't matter to me, I never played the female character anyway (duh!), but perhaps if they were to remake Crystal (which looks unlikely) they'll replace Soul with Kris.

I think they should also put the Sevii Islands in as well, but as with Kanto, alter them. Also, I don't think they should shrink some of the routes and places either - that really annoyed me about some routes.

ohgosh. you don't know how excited i was when i found this out. a week before it was released, people had been talking about all these fakes, and it was killing my spirit. D; but yeah. johto was seriously my favorite region. and i adored the generation two pokemon so much. <333
