This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Apparently you battle Giovanni in an event triggered by a Celebi that is presumed to be given away at the next movie. You travel in time to the period when Team Rocket has taken over the Goldenrod Radio Tower. You encounter Giovanni and fight him to prevent him from meeting up with Team Rocket again.
I'll be honest, if they get the dialogue right, then that event could be epic (and if we actually get it here in England =p)

Also doesn't it involve a tiny tiny bit of Silver's backstory?

Indeed, but I didn't mention it.

I don't care any more about any of that, if there was one reason to buy the game it would be cause of the music. It's perfect

Well, I've never cared for Pokemon Music, but it is top notch.

I am seriously excited for this, but I'm not sure if I should get a Rom or buy it for the pedometer thing.

What game do you people think I should get, Silver or Gold?

You need to change the internal battery in order to do that.

The game looks pretty good. I can't wait for it to come out in the U.S. I'm also going to get Soul Silver.

In Silver you will be able to catch Groundon, and in Gold you can catch Kyogre.

Check out the version-exclusive list once it's found out. Pick the version with the pokemon that interest you more.

This has been known for some time, but thanks anyway.

Spoilered for spoilish reasons. >_>;;

Kyogre is heaps better than Groudon, in my opinion. Gold it is.

I'm getting both Gold and Silver, as I owned them both before.

Well, I'm happy that they have left a lot of the things from Fire Red and Leaf Green in, and some of the stuff that was going to be put in the originals has actually been put in here

[ Pewter City's museum is no longer closed for renovations, Viridian Forest hasn't been cut down, Seafoam Islands is as it should have been, Cerulean Cave still exists etc.

Mt. Moon is the same though as the original Gold/Silver versions, I believe they explained it as rock slides here though that caused most of the cave to collapse.

Shame we wont be able to get event Pokemon such as notched-eared Pichu, or Event Arceus WITHOUT A CHEATING DEVICE.

What are you talking about? Event pokemon have been supported in North America throughout the entire 4th gen. Granted, you have to go to a Toys 'R Us for most of them, but that hardly means that it's impossible to get them without cheating.

This used to be the case, but has proven to not be true anymore, because the things they both typically fight take special hits better. That, and Kyogre can't buff anywhere near as fast as Groudon. Rock Polish and a Life Orb, GG, you outrun and wreck everything.

Spoilers don't count towards character limit? ffffff

Oh, well, I did actually just mean that I much preferred Kyogre over Groudon, but alright, then. It's true that I haven't really used Groudon much before...

But to the best of my knowledge, no events have been held in the UK.

Wrong. I got my Shaymin from Selfridges in Birmingham. And lest not forget the now passed Darkrai and Secret Key events over Wi-Fi...

But there are none near me as far as I know. Even if they held one in London, I'd have to be doing something else nearby (as I have to go by train to London, from Farnborough, I think it takes about 45 minutes anyways, and for £20 a ticket...). In any case, any events I would have missed - my acquisition of a DS was fairly recent.

Yes. But I've never used Darkrai - I have pretty much no room on my team for it.

Most of them were in London and Birmigham. I think a few were in Manchester I don't know where the other events were. It's posible you were'nt in the right shop at the time. If you want shaymin or any of the others I suggest Action Replay since the events have finished now. I know how annoying it can be if you miss these events. Because you can't complete the pokedex without AR then.

Well, in any case, I got a DS after the events occured. So I had to use Action Replay. Heck, I hear the events also gave away a Regigigas which opens three chambers in Platinum up.
