FF9- Pure epic in a can. Story, characters, and soundtrack were the greatest on the ps1.
MGS- Mainly cuz of the story and the Psycho Mantis boss battle.
Persona 3- Story, Junpei and battle system
Persona 4- Story, battle system.
MGS2- Story.
Oblivion/fallout- Epic. nuff said.

God of War 1/2- just because...
Street Fighter 4 - I never thought that SF2 could be bested, but I was so very, very wrong. THE most in-depth game ever.
Metal Gear Solid 3 - Best in the series.
Devil May Cry 3 - One incredible game. Great characters, great story, great depth...also, because I am awesome, if you bought it in the UK very soon after it was released, then you got the hardest game of all time. Fo' rizzle.
Halo - Big dumb fun that changed a genre.

For me, it's a 3-way toss-up between Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (for sentimental reasons more than anything else), Metal Gear Solid 3, and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem for saving me from the feeling of being safe at night.

I'm gonna be typical and say Ocarina of Time as well. And also any Civilization game (III and Revolution are my favs) is super-addictive and I can spend days not eating, drinking, anything, just playing civ, and not realize it. "just one more turn!"

YGO Forbidden Memories for the PlayStation. Sure, it doesn't explain the new rules, it takes a lot of effort to get good cards, and it's bloody difficult, but it has a great storyline and feel to it, and is quite addicting. Quite an old choice of game but I loved it...

The Wii version of TP was mirrored IMO

Mega man legends 2 (Either one works, but 2 had a better story, had better character models, and made the lock on a lot better (though one might say this detracts from the difficulty of the first which wasn't already that great))

Mega man powered up. an incredible remake of the first Megaman, only with updated graphics, 13 completely new stages as well as the original 10, 100 challenges, and a simple yet versatile stage builder to boot, and yes you can upload the stages to the internet and share them. there is only one bad thing about this game, the dub voice acting.

Marvel VS capcom 2 Hands down THE best fighting game ever created. if you have not played this game, you need to either get a dreamcast, or get the new HD version, because the other ports aren;t so great, but the dreamcast and the new HD ports as well as the arcade version are amazing beyond belief.

and that's all I will say for now..
(there is something in common with all of these games, and once you realise what that is, you will think my opinion on games is really biased >.>)

Maybe it's because I didn't play OoT until after I played TP, but I didn't really like it at all. Majora's Mask was much more fun IMO.

Yeah, that game is probably one of the best when it comes down to characters, cut scenes, and storyline. I dunno if you've played the game before that, which is Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, but it's the same story with Ike and all and it was pretty damn good!
