Well there's several. Shak Fu, a fighting game starring the legendary Bball player, is commonly named the worst fighter of all time, and I guess also the worst game.
I remember, in the last issue of The Official Nintendo Magazine (UK) before the writing staff changed, they reviewed their worst EVER game, Crazy Frog Racing for the Nintendo DS. Considering Mario Kart had just driven in (^_^) it was likely to be beaten by any kart game, but no, this barely counted as a game. I don't know who's idea it was to give the Crazy Frog a game, but to know that there was a person/people who actually made this peice of crap...Selling out really doesn't cut it.
A game me and my friends always make fun of was the worst Gamecube launch game, Universal Studios. Seriously, why would a game based on an amusement park that involves you picking up litter, where the greatest thrill comes from a film quiz hosted by Woody woodpecker...the laughing bastard, have even been suggeusted as a game idea 0_0

ET is usually cited as the worst game ever but I would like to submit Night Trap/Custer's Revenge as being the worst games ever. Both because they apparently sucked and because they started the whole "video games are corrupting children" trend among the older generation.

Might I add, for worst voice acting/translation, Castle Shikigami 2? Not only did they ACTUALLY SAY stage directions (changed voice, ect) they included lines like 'Fashionable people dislike bulges' and dialoge like:

P1 'Woooooooo.'
P2 'Talking . . . why?'
P1 'It's their trick to stop conversation.'

This game, rather like Plan Nine From Outer Space, is so bad it's completely and utterly brilliant. ^____^

Custers Revenge was funny!

E.T. was horrible.

Metal Gear was disgraceful. Why did Kojima make the pits so goddamn hard to avoid. Metal Gear 2 was much better thankfully.

Big Rigs may have essentially no programming to begin with but it isn't pain-inducing in the least; I'm going to have to cast my vote for Superman 64. Get a used copy at GameStop sometime (they literally go for less than a dollar) and you'll see what I mean.

Maybe that's because I was one of the unfortunate few that paid sixty dollars for it when it had first came out without first reading any reviews, but... ;_;

Worst game I ever played? Navy Seals: Weapons of Mass Destruction. Terrible AI, Terrible graphics, barely any audio and the FOV was so narrow it made me dizzy.
