This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

I just got finished reading the severely cut down and edited version of Beowulf when I saw a clip for a new Beowulf movie. Kinda interesting that a poem dating from around 1300 years ago is still getting this much love from Hollywood producers. Hmm, I wonder how Yu-Gi-Oh! the abridged series will be in 1300 years.

Anywho, the movie doesn't look much at all (from what I've seen) like the version I read, but it looks like it will have enough action to make up for that.

I give it 7 overly optimistic smileys out of 10

The Fight scenes were pretty good. Everything else was cringe worthy, boring,or somewhat entertaining(Which wasn't many times)

6.5/10

The trailer that you saw really doesn't do the movie justice one bit...
I hope whoever edited that trailer gets fired since it will put a LOT of people off from seeing the movie.
Contrary to what you just said, EVERYTHING is the same as the originally story/poem and nothing was pulled out of Hollywood's asses to make it more "interesting".

My god, I went in there expecting crap and was completely blown away.
THE ENTIRE MOVIE IS CGI BUT FOR 70% OF THE FILM YOU ALMOST CAN'T TELL.
And wanna know what the most lifelike thing in the entire movie was? THE MOTHERFUCKING DRAGON!
The textures and movement and everything...

That movie owned, me and my friend got to be the annoying bastards who talk through the whole thing. I was surprised that the animation was better than FFVII:AC and how accurate it represented Viking life (no white teeth lol).

Grendel's Mother Seducing Beowulf.
Grendel's mother asking Beowulf to help her make a replacement for Grendel.
"SINS OF THE FATHER!" or whatever
whooooosshhhh Dragon.

Pretty apparent they wanted you to know that Beowulf did indeed father that Dragon....somehow....yeah...

Besides, who really cares about spoilers. If you go see the movie, you will be so engrossed by the fact that what you are looking at isn't real people that you will forget anything you ever knew about Beowulf. Plus, it used Austin Powerism (putting things in the foreground to hide man parts) really well.

i didn't like beowulf verry much, it was like a rip off of "300" like whwn he said :'I am BEOWULF", or whern Leonidus said: "This is SPARTA", or "TOnight, we'll be diferent and "Tonight, we'll die in Hell", other then that i didn't like the movie at all.
