This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

has anyone read the series of books? I know that the people in Europe probably hate the name they're giving it, saying that "The Northern Lights" sounds much better and all... but still...

anyone else pumped for this movie? :D

the books are so awesome. His Dark Materials rules. Just finished the trilogy a second time...

oh, and the golden compass does sound better... they couldnt just stick "the alethiometer" on the cover... thats not nearly as good as either of them. o_O

Yeah, the girl playing Lyra is nothing like in the book...

I'm worried that they might skip the whole religion thing from the book though, especially in The Amber Spyglass.

Sorry if I sound like a jackass, but I've never read the books. I'm a serious christian, and I hear they kill God in it. Would I still be intrested?

im a serious christian and i really like them. its more like The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe in its religioness, than anything else. as for the movie, im still reeling from The Seeker, a rekill of The Dark is Rising, so im going to pass on that.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I saw the Seeker. Not a bad book. Movie made me wat to claw out someone else's eyes. Not mine of course. That would just be silly. <img src='/images/emoticons/smiley1.png'>
