Eh, somehow I doubt that, I mean, it's YBakura, he stabs Ryou's hand through a game piece in season zero because he helps Atem, not to mention how the Ring stabs into Ryou's chest in the manga. It's a bit like YMalik's creepy tonguemanship and face distortions, they're there to show how messed up he is.

(Besides, the steak scene in season two was waaay better, Ryou and Bakura's season one voice actor made them sound too girly.
