Space your sentences next time. It's hard to read that shit, yo.
You should.. try saving your cash. quit wasting it on stupid stuff and maybe you could go to youmacon. |

The con is 2 weeks after my wedding. Future hubby and I will be getting our own room. Hahaha hopefully we won't be wasting too much money by going. :) |

I'm tempted to find a new Con stomping ground, but considering I'm so nitpicky when it comes to saving and budgeting money, I might have to hold off until Youmacon 2014 before attending this con

It just occurred to me, though, that I won't have time to plan as much for the con because I'll be planning the wedding and the Chicago honeymoon instead... which leaves a few days to plan for Youmacon. Eh... there isn't usually that much planning involved as long as I don't have a costume. We'll see how it goes.

when we went to youma in 2010, we seriously only brought PB&j, crackers, and cookies. by the second day we were living off the free ramen and pockey people were handing out. |

What I always do for food is bring breakfast and lunch - cereal, milk, sandwiches and chips. We would buy dinner at the food court. Which is great because there is already a lot of variety at the food court, and only going there three times means that you won't be eating the same thing for dinner every day.
Last year, though, the 42 Degrees North restaurant had a $12 brunch buffet. Man that was delicious. The day we did that, we just ate the sandwiches for dinner and skipped the cereal. |

Unfortunately because of a bunch of things going on in my life (moving to Japan at the end/beginning of the year, wanting to spend Christmas at home this year before big move, not really being into ygotas anymore, etc etc) I don't think I'll be going to Youmacon this year.

I will miss you! I just don't think I can really afford it with everything else going on this year/next year. I need to save my money.
But hey, maybe if you and your fiance save up, you can come see me in Japan and stay on the naval base. :) |

That would be epic. But his gut reaction to stuff like that is, "But what about money?" But if you were on your naval base for more than a couple of years, then perhaps. :)

Oh, this thread exists this year? I sure wasn't doing it this time.
There's zero shame in the genius idea of packing food along rather than burning it away on subpar con food. You people and your significant life changes. I don't have such occurrences yet, so I'll still be going, for the 5th time. However, no room or platinum reg this time, I'll just commute to and fro. That is, unless my complete devotion to volunteering and being part of Guest Relations staff after discussing it the past 3 years nets me crash space. I've been likened to Morpheus a bunch this year, with the sunglasses I wear, so I take that as a sign to finally cosplay for once, as him this year, pooling the money I would've had towards that instead. Kinda need to see The Matrix first, not to mention get that organized way in advance. Also, I've got to order another "gay lightsaber" for Martin to make jokes about at the panel. |

I'll most likely be at youmacon this year cosplaying a "Prince of Tennis" character.
Hope to see you all there. |

Less than 6 weeks til Youmacon, you guys.
I can't say that I'm terribly thrilled with the guest list this year (I mean LK and TFS are still awesome, but I do mean besides them...) I mean there are some other good ones but no one else that I'm like, ecstatic for, you know? Eh, I don't really go for the guests besides LK and TFS anyways. But because I go every year it is nice to do different things and be excited for different people as well. |

They are, and I like Todd Haberkorn as well. It's not that the other guests aren't cool, they just don't make me want to jump to their panels/autograph lines. *shrug*

The Sonic Paradox people and 91.8 the fan people are going to be there as well.
Hopefully I'll get my game done before the convention starts so i can have a panel for it. |

I won't have my schedule of working with Jon St. John until con time, so who knows if I can stop by. I'll be wearing my Morpheus costume that day, though.

I'm just kidding about the food court. I don't know where the fug I'll be on saturday.
If I see a Morpheus, I'll be sure to say howdy. |
