This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout 'Save us!'... and Gon's Balls will whisper 'First... comes... rock!' Hah! Made you stare at Naruto's Marshmallow! Pushing the logo off-center to drive TheOcean insane.

Guns N' Roses- Hard Rock band that didn't give a shit about what people thaught of what they sang about, with both smooth bulsey songs and harder more agrissive songs covering their work!

Iron Maiden- Epicness rules the day! Big fast guitars, with epic vocals and theams!

AC/DC- Simple but Hard Rock. True Rock N' Roll

Aerosmith- Want to hear the deffanition of Rock N' Roll? This it it! The next step in evolution from Led Zepplin.

1) Anything having to do with Ronnie James Dio (Rainbow from 75 to 78, Black sabbath 79 to 82 and Dio from 82 beyond)
Medievil overtones in good old fashioned 70's heavy metal tradition (or contemporary style for Rainbow and Sabbath) with a strong frontman, Dio, who's voice is both commanding and haunting at once, lending a staying power to his best music. He makes a heavy focus on rhyming, symbolisim and imagry in his lyrics, backed by a strong guitar and drums, all compiled together with a dark, but not out right goth feel. He may be one of the most ugly artists ive ever had the misfortune of laying eyes on, but his music (written mostly by him, with the aid of Richie Blackmore -origional guitarist of Deep Purple- during his Rainbow years.) just plain rocks. ----- Favorite songs: Man on the Silver Mountian, Night People, Holy Diver, Gates of Babylon.

2) Bob Seger. Its like country that doesnt piss me off. Infact, his brand of Folk rock (a genre including Neil Dymond, Bruce Springsteen and Eric Clapton) has a distinct blues-rock/soul feel to it, makeing it distinctive amongst the genre. It's country rock with 100% fewer references to beer, tractors, and Jesus. -----Favesongs: Night People, Hollywood Nights, Fire Down Below, Sunspot Baby.

3) Joe Satriani. Joe's music is almost compleately instrumental with a heavy focus on his outright unbeliveable guitar work, so instead of his songs each feeling distinct from one another, as is the standard for pretty much every genre in the multiverse, they essentialy blend to gether and form a single musical experiance for each and every album. Great to listen to whilst doing something else, or to just zone out to for an hour or so, but gets way to melodic at times and his heavy use of the distortion pedal with his amazing guitar work sometimes sounds way too much like a keyboard. --- Favealbum: Surfing with an Alien

4) Therion. Iron Maiden epic? More like dramatic. Therion? That's epic. Therion's music, with a strong (2 album) root in Death metal and the writer/composer with a masters in Music Theory, a 7 member chorus on its team, a full strings section, a full 4 man metal band, and a lyical and thematical focus on ancient mythology from around the world, Therion is an epic musical experiance crammed into small, shiney plastic discs. Therion's music has a tendency to follow a strong theme during entire albums, making it hard to put induvidual songs in with songs from diffrent albums and often, the songs dont stand well alone, once again, makeing it almost a must for you to listen to entire albums to get the best results.--- Favealbum: Secret of the Runes

5) Journey. I have been called gay so many times for admiting this, but its just kind of funny, when there is a good chance that some of their parents (father's included) listen to this music. It's soulful, strong, and somewhat romantic music at the core, with a strong shell of excelent guitar riffs, drums and keyboards, makeing it more than the sum of all its parts.---- Favesongs: Don't stop beliveing, Ask the Lonely, Stone in Love, Faithfully.

(On a strange side note, one of my least favorite artists, Roy Obrison, made my favorite song of all time Oh, Pretty Woman. Ironic, huh?)

That's because your friends are stupid. Journey rocks

Personally, I've always had a Big Three: Journey, Foreigner, and Boston as my favorites

Well, for Boston, there's:
-The self-titled debut album, it's personally one of my favorite albums ever. Pretty much all 8 songs on it are still being played on classic rock stations today. (Highlights: More than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay/Long Time, Smokin', Hitch a Ride)
-Don't Look Back, the second album. It's a bit of a step down from the first one, but they set the bar so high for themselves with Album 1 that trying to top it would be insane. (Highlights: Don't Look Back, It's Easy, A Man I'll Never Be, Party)
-Other than that, it's pretty sparse. Since DLB came out in 1978, Boston released only 3 more albums, each 8 years apart. On the 3rd album, Third Stage, there's not much other than Cool the Engines and Amanda. The fourth album, Walk On is OK, widely blasted for sucking, but I personally think it's not that bad. The highlight is easily the four-track-long Walk On Theme. And then, the fifth, and presumeably last album, Corporate America, was released in 2002, but it's not worth listening to at all. I've tried.

So, I guess for Boston, start with the first two, they're classic rock... classics, and if you wanna take a chance on their other rock and roll, go for it, I guess. R.I.P. to their lead singer, Brad Delp, who died in March.

As for Foreigner, few people really admit to liking the band, but they've amassed many hits over the years. Like Boston, their album count is minimal, with only eight total and the last one released in 1994. I personally think they came to prominence with that one episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force where the Mooninites acquire the Foreigner belt. Their music, for the unenlightened:

(self-titled debut): Cold as Ice, Feels Like the First Time, Long, Long Way From Home, Starrider, At War with the World
Double Vision (album 2): Double Vision, Hot Blooded, Blue Morning Blue Day
Head Games (album 3): Head Games, Dirty White Boy
4: Juke Box Hero, Urgent, Break it Up, Luanne
Agent Provocateur: I Want to Know What Love Is, Down on Love
Inside Information: Heart Turns to Stone

Unfortunatly, also like Boston, the quality of their work declined in later albums. If you don't want to scope out each of those albums, they have best-of ones out, but for some stupid reason, the songs are edited, not for content, but for no reason other than run length. It's annoying to hear full-length versions on the radio and wonder why it's been edited. So, you know, word of warning.

If you need any other recommendations, just let me know.

FightingDreamer... all of them are on my top ten WORST bands list.

5.) Nirvana: Their amazing sound and kick-ass meaningless vocals are awesome. Each of the members are at the top of their game. They are THE best band of the 90s. Soundgarden and Alice In Chains are also the other two best 90s bands. STP and Pearl Jam suck!!!!

4.) Metallica: Without a doubt, the best metal band of all time. Iron Maiden and Van Halen come close, but their amazing range of sounds puts them at the top.

3.) The Police: Their amazing, innovative mix of Punk Rock, Jazz, Pop, Reggae, and Nu-Wave will blow people's minds with their awesomeness. They're the reason I liked Rock Music I saw them live... YAY!!!

2.) The Beatles: So simple, yet so inspiring. John Lennon's vocals are f-ing amazing.

1.) Led Zeppelin: Everyone in the band is fucking awesome. Plant is one of the best vocalists ever, Page is one of the best guitarists ever, Bonham is definitely one of the GREATEST drummers of all time, there aren't that many great bassists but Jones was definitely good.
