It's the same when they ambushed Kaiba, 4kids obviously believe guns are scum (I'm not much of a lead lover myself but there's no reason to shield them I mean it's not really promoting them). It's worse in other shows, like how they're super soakers in One Piece and Magical wands in Shaman King.
